SHENZHEN — RayNeo on Sunday opened preorders for its recently unveiled iO smartglasses and RayNeo GT cinematic glasses, publishing pricing and availability details days after the products' debut. The company positioned the devices for both consumers and developers.
RayNeo, a smart-glasses brand backed by Chinese television maker TCL, revealed the iO and GT lines on August 22. The iO glasses emphasise AI-enabled assistance and voice interaction, while the GT range targets media viewing with a built-in micro-display for what the firm describes as a cinematic experience.
The launch places RayNeo in direct competition with Meta's Ray-Ban glasses and Xreal's display eyewear, a segment that has grown rapidly through 2026. RayNeo said the iO integrates a voice assistant, camera and audio features aimed at everyday wear, and the company highlighted battery life and weight as design priorities.
Wearables analysts, including those at Counterpoint Research, have noted accelerating shipments for AI smart glasses this year. The category has drawn heavy investment as manufacturers race to pair lightweight optics with on-device and cloud AI models.
RayNeo confirmed the glasses would ship with software tools intended to let third parties build applications for the platform. Additional regional availability and developer support details will follow.
