LONDON — CMF, the budget sub-brand of consumer electronics maker Nothing, opened pre-orders on Wednesday for its $59 and $109 Bluetooth speakers featuring swappable magnetic panels, with first shipments scheduled before the year's end. The company confirmed pricing and availability across the UK, India, and Europe.

The speakers use a milk-carton-inspired form factor and interchangeable side panels that let owners customise colour and texture. Nothing has positioned the modular design as a repairability feature, allowing damaged components to be replaced rather than discarded.

CMF said the entry-level model targets buyers who have historically defaulted to JBL and Anker portable speakers, while the $109 variant competes nearer the lower end of Sonos and Bose ranges. The devices will ship with Nothing's own audio tuning and support for standard Bluetooth 5.4 codecs.

The pre-order launch reinforces Nothing's strategy of undercutting incumbents on price while emphasising design and sustainability, a formula that has driven its growth in India and Western Europe. Analysts at Counterpoint Research noted that CMF has become one of the fastest-growing budget hardware lines since its 2023 debut.

Nothing founder Carl Pei has repeatedly framed the sub-brand as a route to recurring accessory sales, with swappable panels sold separately. The company indicated that third-party panel designs and a template for makers would follow the speakers' release.
