NEW YORK — New York Fashion Week concluded Monday with Tom Ford's Spring 2027 runway show, ending an eight-day schedule organized by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The finale drew editors, buyers and celebrities to Manhattan.
The September edition began on September 11 and featured presentations from established houses and emerging designers across the city. The Row, the label run by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, opened the week as part of the CFDA's official calendar.
Haider Ackermann, appointed creative director of Tom Ford in 2024, presented a collection centered on tailored eveningwear and sensual minimalism. WWD and Vogue Runway covered the show as one of the week's most anticipated closers.
The CFDA positioned the September calendar to showcase American design ahead of the Milan and Paris shows later in the month. Retail buyers used the week to place orders for the spring and summer 2027 selling seasons.
A CFDA spokesperson said: "New York remains the launchpad for the global fashion season," noting the week's role in setting commercial and creative direction for the year ahead.
