MINNEAPOLIS — Target confirmed strong early demand for its Delia's collaboration on Friday, with several items from the '90s-inspired collection selling out online days after launch. The retailer said restocks were planned.

The collection revives Delia's, the mail-order catalogue that defined teen fashion for many American girls in the 1990s before fading from prominence. Target released the range through its stores and website, featuring chokers, baby tees, butterfly clips and slip dresses aimed at both nostalgic millennials and younger Gen Z shoppers.

The launch extends Target's strategy of nostalgia-driven fashion partnerships, which have previously included limited-run designer and heritage-brand collaborations. A Target spokesperson said the retailer had anticipated interest from customers who grew up with the original Delia's catalogue and from younger buyers embracing '90s aesthetics.

The enduring commercial power of Y2K and '90s revival trends has shaped recent seasons across fast fashion and social media platforms such as TikTok. The Delia's relaunch taps directly into that momentum, pairing recognisable branding with accessible price points.

Target said additional inventory would be made available online and in stores in the coming weeks, and encouraged shoppers to check for restocks. The company declined to disclose specific sales figures for the collaboration.
