'Dhamaal 4', director Indra Kumar's latest instalment in the long-running Hindi comedy franchise, crossed the ₹175 crore mark at the Indian box office on Tuesday, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. The milestone followed a steady run through its second week in theatres.

The film, produced by Ajay Devgn and Fox Star Studios and starring an ensemble cast including Riteish Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi, opened to strong numbers in early August. The family-friendly appeal during the summer holiday period has driven sustained ticket sales.

Distributors reported that multiplex chains including PVR Inox recorded healthy occupancy for weekday shows, particularly in the northern and western circuits where the franchise has historically performed well. Overseas collections in the Gulf and North American markets added to the film's momentum, though domestic earnings remained the primary contributor.

The performance offered relief to Bollywood, which has faced an uneven year at the box office against competition from South Indian and Hollywood releases. Trade publication Box Office India noted that 'Dhamaal 4' had outpaced several higher-budget Hindi titles released earlier in 2026.

Industry analysts expect the film to reach the ₹200 crore threshold before its third weekend, subject to competition from upcoming releases. Its comedic template and established franchise brand have insulated it from the sharp midweek drops that affected other recent Hindi films.
