The film extends the Uttar Pradesh-set saga created by Puneet Krishna, which has run for three seasons since its 2018 debut. The trailer reintroduced Pankaj Tripathi as Akhandanand Tripathi, alongside Ali Fazal and Shweta Tripathi, whose characters have driven the show's rivalry over the region's illicit power structures.
