MILAN — Gucci presented its Spring/Summer 2027 women's collection on Wednesday, marking creative director Demna's first full ready-to-wear runway show since his 2025 appointment. The show anchored the second day of Milan Fashion Week.

Demna, formerly of Balenciaga, joined Gucci as the label sought to reverse falling sales that had weighed heavily on parent company Kering's revenues. His debut had been among the most anticipated moments of the European fashion calendar, following his teaser presentation earlier in the year.

The collection followed Vogue World: Milano, the industry showcase livestreamed on Tuesday, which set the tone for a week featuring shows from Prada, Fendi, Bottega Veneta and Versace. Milan's chamber of fashion, the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, confirmed the crowded schedule of debuts across several houses.

Gucci accounts for roughly two-thirds of Kering's operating profit, making Demna's creative vision central to the group's recovery strategy. Executives at Kering will monitor the collection's reception closely.

Gucci said the collection would reach flagship boutiques and online in early 2027, with select pieces previewed to press and retail buyers immediately following the show.
