'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' crossed the ₹150 crore mark in India on Tuesday, distributor Sony Pictures Entertainment India confirmed, as the Marvel film maintained strong momentum through its second week of release. The milestone cemented its place among 2026's biggest Hollywood earners in the country.

The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, opened across Indian screens in early August and crossed ₹100 crore over its first weekend. Weekday collections held firm, aided by dubbed Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions and heavy IMAX bookings, according to box office trackers Sacnilk and Box Office India.

Exhibitors including PVR INOX reported that premium-format shows continued to sell out in major metros such as Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The strong hold came despite fresh competition from regional releases, with the film benefiting from repeat viewership and positive word of mouth among younger audiences.

The performance adds to a robust global run for the title, which has tracked well across international markets since its debut. For Sony and Disney's Marvel Studios, India's contribution reinforces the country's growing importance to the theatrical success of major franchise tentpoles.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said the film's steady weekday numbers signalled durable appeal. "Spider-Man has shown remarkable stability in week two, which is the real test for any Hollywood release in India," he said.
