Bryce Hall, the TikTok personality, said on Sunday that he had filed a police report after six men attacked him at a Halloween party. He posted images of facial bruising and said he would press charges against his assailants. The statement followed a day of silence after footage of the assault spread across social media.
The video, which circulated widely on Saturday, appeared to show Hall being knocked to the ground and repeatedly struck by a group of men during a costume party. The footage was shared millions of times on X, TikTok and Instagram within hours. Hall said in posts to his followers that he had been treated for his injuries and was recovering at home.
Hall, 27, rose to fame on TikTok in 2019 and became one of the best-known members of the Sway House collective of content creators. He later moved into celebrity boxing and lost to the YouTuber Austin McBroom by third-round TKO at the Social Gloves event in June 2021. His career has been shadowed by controversy, including parties at a Hollywood Hills rental in August 2020 that led Eric Garcetti, then mayor of Los Angeles, to order the city to cut the property's power during Covid-19 restrictions.
The attack prompted a split response online. Several fellow creators condemned the assault and urged followers not to share the footage, while others revived long-standing criticism of Hall's public conduct. Hall said in his statement that "nobody deserves to be jumped by six people" and asked fans to stop speculating about the motive.
Hall did not name his attackers or say what had prompted the confrontation. He said he would leave the matter to the police and his lawyers. The episode adds to a turbulent period for a creator whose online following has remained large despite repeated scandals.
